i started to reflect on the past suddenly in the last 15 minutes while having dinner and hence the presence of this post today. before i start, i have to tell everyone out there that if you know that i'm having supper or eating too much please tell me because i seriously need to lose some weight after i reflected in front of the mirror and yes, it is not a very pretty (handsome) sight.

2007. i had my ups and downs this year. i experienced joy and disappointment, anger and relief, (insert emotion) and (insert contrasting emotion). it was a busy year nonetheless with so many events that just came out of nowhere and of course, it was the final school year i'll have. at least those under MOE and in uniform.

i guess the one big disappointment that i had in 2007 was failing to make the a'div team after a few months of hard work only for me to not have the mental strength to strive and persevere. i remember making a pact in 2006 that i will play against acjc and do wonders against them. and well, sad to say, i didn't manage to do that. at least, my school did manage to stop acjc from going into the semi finals so on a good day, i'll view that as a some sort of revenge. but nevertheless it was a major disappointment for me to fail at the final hurdle, barely a few weeks before the final selection. still, i've learnt many lessons along the way, valuable lessons.

the biggest plus/highlight of 2007 must have been SMUN. i've probably said it all before but i never wanted to participate in it but to my surprise (and to many others), it turned out enriching, fulfilling and most of all, i came out with many good friends who, i hope, i can keep in contact with for a long time. it was probably one of my proudest moments in 2007 as well when i managed to somehow win honourable mention with george for the conference.

then of course, 2007 presented me with the a levels. i was fearful. i did not do well at all for my o levels and this was my chance to prove to myself that i'm good enough. this was also my chance to gain entry into a university. well, im not gonna say how the entire thing went but i'm just glad its over and lets just wait for results day. i'm not expecting particularly great results but i'm quite sure i'm not gonna do badly either.

i've learnt a lot this year. i've grown a lot this year. 2007 was a year where i feel, is somewhat a turning point in my life. i feel more mature and yes, while i'm still culpable for a few silly acts here and there, im positive that im well on my way to being an adult.

as for 2008, who knows what the year holds? i'm sure there's gonna be more thrills and spills. the only constant is change. and i'm damn sure there will be a whole lot of change in my life no thanks to two letters, NS.

for now, its all about sitting back, letting the good times roll (and getting a job so i can get a new ipod).

and so i'm back from the land of malaysia. i was there for 6 freaking days and lets just say those 6 days were not the best i've had. a belated merry x'mas to all and with the new year dawning upon us, i've basically spent my entire holiday out and about playing and all. its great to have the freedom i have now and with it continuing past january since school is all but over for me, i believe things are gonna get better.

well i've spent the holidays rather lavishly with loads of socializing and gatherings with close friends. and i've been watching gossip girl. :D the storyline and all are alright and the leads are basically eyecandy. which is why i'm actually following the series but what the heck, i've time to waste anyway. HAHAHA.




oh well, new year's coming soon. i'm losing my ability to make my blog posts interesting but what the heck. see you guys soon.

holy shit people, i've had 2 mothercow sleepovers in 2 days bringing my total to 3 in 5 days. it happened so quickly the past 48 hours or so just passed in a blur. i remembered al-azhar for supper before another crazy ass session of 3.5 hour lan. it all went by in a blur and after everything it was freaking 430am.

hence, POKER. :D

sun came out, we went for breakfast and lugged our bodies around the street soccer court for 3 hours doing all that with absolutely zero rest after which i was soooooo tired i actually felt incredibly highhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

i'm incredibly zonked out now. sleepovers are all fun but boy can it be tiring. off to bed. my bed and i miss each other. hello bed. :D

holyfreakingcow! i woke up at 3pm and slept again till 6pm. i'm officially nocturnal. :D

yesterday was very exhausting but at the same time, enjoyable. technically my day ended at 10.30am today. started off with sakae buffet since i missed the one with my class. freaking owned the shit out of the heeren outlet. we hit approximately $160 for 6 people and if you're wondering how we managed that, lets just say the cha soba helped us out a little.

everyone basically died after that but we still managed to stagger all the way to meridien for some pool action before heading for 4.5 hours of lan. just so you know, 4.5 hours of lan = madness.

all-night mahjong session has been accomplished. freaking played from 3am till about 8am. dom just crashed after that and i have no idea how i am actually awake now with only 3 hours of sleep since i came home. its gonna be a long time before we do another of this shit because earning 20cents per hour is seriously not worth the pain and agony of staying up all night looking at square tiles.

oh by the way, happy 18th mr daniel tay! you are finally legal to do everything. well almost everything. hahaha.

prom was a relative success although i find out today that our lucky draw prizes sucked so bad compared to other schools. im way too lazy to upload any photos (you all should have guessed by now since this post is 5 days late) its all on facebook.

soccer with some 4.7 guys and some other people for ac yesterday. played at some astroturf place at east coast. it was awesome. haha. headed to booby's house after the game. had a great time. played poker and mahjong. :D omg mahjong is the most awesome game. i totally understand why people actually get hooked on it. it gives such a thrill. hahaha.

taiwan was awesome. great city. the people there were great and it was a lovely place to be in with the temperature being relatively comfortable, the shopping great, the food even greater and yeah, overall it was a blast.
